2017年のインディアナポリス500マイルで日本人として史上初優勝を飾った佐藤琢磨選手の、F1日本グランプリ来場が決定した。
10月7日(土)～9日(月・祝)のグランプリ期間中、様々なイベントに特別ゲストとして参加する予定だ。
佐藤琢磨選手は、SRS-F（鈴鹿サーキットレーシングスクール フォーミュラ）出身で、鈴鹿サーキットで開催されたF1日本GPでも好成績を残し、2004年のF1アメリカGPでは3位表彰台を獲得（日本人最高位タイ）、インディカー・シリーズに舞台を移してからは2013年のロングビーチで日本人初優勝を果たすなど、常にトップドライバーとして活躍を続けてきた。
参加イベントなどの詳細は、鈴鹿サーキット公式WEBサイトで順次発表される予定だ。
